The most widely used control valves are models made by Fleck, and Autotrol
In recent years, the "Sears" type of control valve and softener have become more common.
If
you are not sure what you have, look at the Fleck , Autotrol
, and Erie parts pages. MANY
manufacturers use these common valves and put their own name on the
system. Ionics, Inc., Star ( some Home Depot ), Atlantic Filter, and
Water King are just a few examples.
Ecowater, Braswell, Culligan, Rainsoft
and Kinetico have all
gone out of their way to produce unique parts that can only be obtained
through their authorized dealers. This usually makes them more difficult
and more expensive to purchase.
