Iron Filter Oxidizing Media 1 cu.ft.
Can be used in place of MGS.
MTM is capable of removing high amounts iron and manganese, and low amounts of hydrogen sulfide.
The pH level of your water source must be between 6.2 and 8.5 or it will not work
It must be regenerated with potassium permanganate and backwashed often to prevent clogging.
Also, the amount required depends on your level of iron or hydrogen sulfide.
If you are not sure, please ask us.
We have other ways to treat these water problems.
Note: A lower Backwash Rate is used with this media.
So, if you are replacing your MGS with MTM, you will need to change the Back Wash Flow Control on your Valve.
